Sunday's Kelso selections gave a 7th winning pick from of the day from 12 runners as Martila wins at Evens and Chidswell 9/4 who was advised at 3/1 plus placed each way selection Lady Samback at 13/2.

Tuesday's Newcastle selections gave Basildon 5/2 who was advised at 7/2 and Mumgos Debut 5/2 and Wednesday's Newbury selections gave Mister Malarky 11/4 who was advised at 7/2.

Thursday's Wincanton selections gave a winning pick of the day Cracking Destiny 7/4 making it 8 winners from 16 selections {50% strike rate in 2019} and Elusive Belle 4/5 who was advised at 11/8 plus placed each way selections Pineapple Rush 11/2 who was advised at 10/1 and Len Brennan at 10/1.

Friday saw a 9th winner pick of the day from 17 in 2019 as Lisnagar Oscar won at 15/8 having been advised at 2/1 at Chepstow and each way selection Royal Tara was placed at 13/2 who was advised at 7/1.

Saturday's racing takes place at Haydock, Ascot, Taunton, Wolverhampton and Lingfield and my selections for the first named meeting are below on a minimum stakes day.

Sunday's racing takes place at Ayr and Exeter and the news for that day will be here on Saturday evening.

I will be racing at Hereford on Wednesday which is the latest Wales Racing Club race day and this will be followed by the Club's next stable visit which is to the yard of Nikki Evans at Pandy nr Abergavenny.

A winning charity bet on 12 January 2019 as Peteborough United beat Rochdale 2-1. Loose Chips was a placed way selection at an advised 18/1 and there was another winning charity bet at 10/11 as Bury win 1-0 at Yeovil Town on 5 January.

A winning charity bet on New Years Day as Charlton Athletic beat Walsall 2-1.

Classic Club members were sent two selections using the Betfair system on New Years Day and they gave 5/1 winner Aux Ptits Sions {advised at 11/2} and De Name Evades Me at 11/2 {advised at 15/2}.

Membership for 2019 is up to 74 as Colin and Julian join.

There is a race day at Hereford on 23 January 2019 and there will be a hospitality day at Wolverhampton on 29 April 2019. See the Club website {racedays page} for details of all planned racedays in early 2019.
